The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) has undergone various transformations in Merdeka Belajar (independence learning) at all levels, from elementary and secondary education to higher education to create superior human resources (SDM) who behave according to Pancasila values. The National Achievement-Based Selection (SNBP) has replaced the National Selection for State Universities (SNMPTN) since 2022. The national achievement-based selection (SNBP) focuses on giving high recognition for comprehensive learning success in secondary education, and SNBP selection uses report cards from semester 1 to semester 5. In addition, prospective students will also be selected based on certificates of academic or non-academic achievements.

The registration for the National Achievement-Based Selection (SNBP) was opened on February 14th, 2023. Semesta Senior High School students who are eligible and given the opportunity to participate in SNBP 2023 register themselves to the desired universities and departments with the assistance of the Career Planning Department of Semesta Senior High School. The Career Planning Department specifically assists 12th-grade students, starting from guidance on the chosen major and university to completing the SNBP 2023 registration process. The results of the National Achievement-Based Selection (SNBP) 2023 were announced on March 28th, 2023, through the official SNBP 2023 website.
