SMA Semesta Boys’ Basketball Team Clinches Fourth Consecutive Championship at the 2025 Friendship Cup

Semarang – The SMA Semesta boys’ basketball team has once again etched its name in the spotlight after winning the 2025 Friendship Cup 5-on-5 basketball tournament. This marks their fourth consecutive championship title in as many years, solidifying their dominance in this prestigious inter-school basketball competition in Semarang.

Held at GOR Sahabat in Semarang, the final match saw SMA Semesta face off against their formidable rivals, SMA 11 Masehi. The game was intense right from the first quarter, but Semesta’s cohesion and well-executed strategy allowed them to maintain control and secure a convincing win. The final score was 60–47 in favor of SMA Semesta.

The team’s coach, Bima, expressed immense pride in his players’ performance. “The boys were phenomenal. They played with heart and an incredible fighting spirit. It wasn’t just about skill—it was the championship mindset they’ve developed,” he stated.

Meanwhile, team captain Azka Putra Hadiyanto, who led the scoreboard with 18 points, credited the victory to the collective hard work of the entire team. “We’ve trained hard all year and always supported one another. This win is for our school and everyone who has stood by us,” said Azka.

The Friendship Cup is an annual tournament that brings together the best high school basketball teams across Semarang. The event not only showcases talent but also fosters sportsmanship and camaraderie among students.
