Semesta Bilingual Boarding School

In welcoming the holy month of Ramadan which is full of blessings, PGKG Semesta held a charity activity involving all students, teachers, and parents. This activity is not only a special moment to instill the values of caring and the spirit of sharing, but also a fun learning event for early childhood.

With the concept of a Mini Market, children are invited to bring various snacks from home to be sold to friends and parents who attend. What makes this activity unique is the use of sticks as a means of transaction, replacing money. Each child buys a number of sticks to make purchases, while the results of the sticks received by the seller are collected as a form of "Charity Baazar".

This activity took place very lively and full of enthusiasm. The children looked enthusiastic in decorating their simple booths, offering food with confidence, and interacting with each other when making transactions. The school atmosphere turned into a cheerful small market, full of educational values.

No less important, parents also actively participated in this activity. They came and bought the children's merchandise, gave encouragement, and strengthened the values of togetherness between the school and family. Their presence provided positive energy while also being a real example of the meaning of social concern.

After all transactions were completed, the collected sticks were counted and converted into donations. The funds were then donated to a learning house that assists underprivileged children in obtaining access to decent education. This was a valuable experience for the children: that the results of their work can provide benefits to others.

"This activity is part of the contextual learning that we present at PGKG Semesta. Children learn to trade, interact, and at the same time understand the meaning of sharing in a fun and meaningful atmosphere," said one of the teachers.

Through this activity, PGKG Semesta hopes to be able to foster children's characters who are not only academically intelligent, but also have high empathy and social spirit. Hopefully, this spirit of togetherness and sharing will continue to grow in every student, not only during Ramadan, but also in everyday life.
