Semesta School is an SPK (Cooperation Education Unit) that combines the international curriculum (Cambridge) for Mathematics and Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and the national curriculum for other subjects. English subjects use the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for language) with learning resources from Cambridge and National Geographic. English is the language of instruction for Cambridge curriculum subjects, and Indonesian is used for subjects from the national curriculum. Apart from that, Semesta also has foreign language lessons with 5 language choices; Japanese, French, Mandarin, Arabic and Turkish.
The Cambridge curriculum used in Semesta is divided into 3 levels; Lower Secondary Checkpoint for Grades 7 to 8 of Middle School, Upper Secondary IGCSE and Advanced AS/A level. The Cambridge level exam will be taken by Grade 9 students for Checkpoint, and Grade 11 students will be taking the IGCSE exam. The A Level exam is optional and can be taken by students who are interested in continuing their studies abroad. All of these exams are conducted in the period October-November.
Apart from the Cambridge exam, the Semesta school also organizes the SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) for Semesta and other school students, and is one of the SAT test centers for the Central Java region. The SAT organized by the College Board is a standardized exam that has long been a requirement for admission to colleges in the United States. Now the SAT has also been recognized by more than 700 well-known universities outside the United States. Semesta also has a program for preparing for the SAT and IBT/IELTS exams.

Dormitory of Semesta Boarding School is an ideal school institution that provides a dormitory system for its students and is also a very important part in supporting the school’s vision and mission. There are many benefits that we -teachers and students- can get from boarding school life. These include:
- Training students to be able to think and be independent and not rely on parents. If students encounter problems, they are encouraged to be mature and consult in solving the problem.
- Providing opportunities for the school through teachers and staff to maximize their time in education and provide valuable knowledge and experiences to students. After the school hours are finished, the school is still able to supervise all forms of activities and interactions of the students in the dormitory through the dormitory coaches.
- The school can more easily identify each student’s personalities and characters through their dormitory supervisors. Therefore, the school will be able to provide the best solution on dealing with each student. Because we strongly believe that each student has a different way of being treated and educated, since they come from different places, with different family backgrounds, beliefs, cultures and traditions, thus resulting in a different personality and character from one another. Therefore, we take great care and concern in every process of growth and development of each student.
- It prevents students from negative characteristics such as selfishness, individualism, ignorance, carelessness, and so on. The students are trained to be a charitable person, aware of the environment, and respectful of each other. Because in the dormitory, each room will consist of a maximum of 8 students and a minimum of 6 students. If one student is in trouble or sick, their friends will also feel the same way, and this is how students are able to learn about solidarity, tolerance, and loyalty.
